About Here I Am Self-Care

Self-Care Makes You Stronger

Most women know this. Too many of us still don't do it.

Not because we don't care about ourselves. Because we were taught to put everyone else first. That lesson began at an early age.

Sometimes taking care of yourself starts with someone else taking care of you. That's why we make gift boxes that are easy to send and easy to accept.

Every item comes from a woman-owned small business. That's where we start. Then we get particular:

Does it work? We try each product because it has to be good at what it claims to do.

Is it clean? It has to be made from clean and sustainable ingredients, no off-gassing or hidden toxins. It needs to be safe for the person and planet.

Can it build connection? We create gift boxes that help people connect with each other. When one person is less stressed, everyone is better off.

Is there impact beyond the transaction? We want our choices to matter for the women who make these products and their communities. Because our communities are stronger than a brand.

That's a lot of expectations to meet. It's not easy to get in our boxes. But when something clears those bars, it creates a little magic in each box.

Easy to send. Easy to accept. Hard to ignore.

Why "Here I Am"?

Women face impossible expectations: staying on top of work, raising a family, handling the household chores, and never aging beyond 29.

It's common in midlife for a woman (like our founder, Renee) to face divorce, a stalled career, and menopause, often while caring for children and aging parents.

We accept burnout as a state of mind. Self-care became another task to squeeze in, when what we actually needed was to be cared for. When one person is struggling, everyone in the household struggles.

Here I Am was created because the spectrum of self-care had become either another beauty product that would solve all our problems or a luxury that is out of reach for most of us.

We believe self-care is not an indulgence. It is a necessity. Our care is a responsibility. Only when we care for ourselves can we truly care for others.

Our mission is simple. We promote well-being through intentional self-care.

Our Standards

Every brand must meet clear criteria before we work together.

Does it work? Products must be effective and useful. If it claims to support calm or sleep, it actually has to work.

Is it clean? We evaluate ingredients for safety. No off-gassing, no hidden toxins. The air everyone breathes matters.

Can it build connection? We favor products that help people connect with each other, not isolate them. Shared wellbeing over solo consumption.

Is there impact beyond the transaction? We work with women-owned businesses because their success matters to their families and communities, not just their bottom line.

We favor transparency over marketing claims. If a brand can't explain their choices, we find ones who will.

If something does not align with these standards, we do not carry it.

Our Impact

Support for Women-Owned Small Businesses

We work with brands that align with our values.

We support founders who care about the people who use their products.

Our partnerships are built on fairness and shared purpose.

Support for the Planet

As a member of 1% for the Planet, one percent of our annual revenue goes to environmental nonprofits doing the work on the ground. It's a small number with real consequences for sustainability.

Our Founders

In 2022, Renee and Robert co-founded Here I Am. Not to build a gift box company. To prove that how you do business matters as much as what you sell.

Renee Trepagnier, Co-Founder and CEO

Renee spent decades in executive leadership before building something of her own. She knows what it costs women to defer their own care. Here I Am is her answer to that.

Robert Dugan, Co-Founder and President

Robert has spent his life standing up for people who needed someone in their corner. That instinct is built into everything Here I Am does.
