FAQs

What is a Konjac Sponge made of?

The Konjac sponge is made from 100% natural Konjac fiber, derived from the root of the Konjac plant (Amorphophallus Konjac). It is biodegradable, vegan, and gentle enough for all skin types.

How do I use the Konjac Sponge for the first time?

Simply rinse the sponge under warm water until it softens and expands to its full, squishy size. It's ready to use! You can use it with your favorite cleanser or with water alone for a pure, gentle cleanse.

Do I use soap with the Konjac Sponge?

You can! The sponge is effective with just water, but for a deeper cleanse, apply your favorite liquid facial cleanser directly to the damp sponge or onto your face.

Is the Konjac Sponge suitable for my skin type?

Absolutely. The Konjac sponge is naturally gentle and is excellent for all skin types, including sensitive, dry, oily, and acne-prone skin. Its soft fibers provide a gentle exfoliation that won't strip the skin's natural oils.

How is the Konjac Sponge different from a loofah?

While both are natural exfoliators, a loofah is much coarser and more abrasive, making it better suited for the body. A Konjac Sponge is derived from a soft, porous root, making it uniquely gentle and perfect for the delicate skin on your face. It provides a soft exfoliation that won't cause micro-tears or irritation.

How do I clean and care for my Konjac Sponge?

After each use, rinse the sponge thoroughly with warm water to remove all soap residue. Gently squeeze out excess water and keep it in a well-ventilated area to dry between uses.

How often should I replace my Konjac Sponge?

We recommend replacing your sponge every 4-6 weeks. Because it is a natural product, it will naturally start to break down over time. Replacing it regularly ensures optimal cleanliness and effectiveness. You'll know it's time for a new one when it becomes overly soft or starts to fray.

Can I boil my Konjac Sponge to sanitize it?

We do not recommend boiling, as extreme heat can break down the natural fibers too quickly. For a deeper clean, you can occasionally soak it in a mixture of warm water and a little vinegar or baking soda, then rinse thoroughly.

Is the Konjac Sponge eco-friendly?

Yes! Our Konjac Sponges are 100% biodegradable and compostable. The packaging is also recyclable, aligning with our commitment to sustainability. Once you're done with it, you can simply cut it up and add it to your compost bin.

How to Use

  1. Hydrate: Soak the Konjac sponge in warm water for 10-15 minutes before the first use to soften and expand it.
  2. Cleanse: Gently massage your face in circular motions with the sponge, with or without a cleanser.
  3. Rinse and Dry: After use, rinse the sponge thoroughly, squeeze out excess water (avoid wringing), and hang it in a well-ventilated area to dry.

Replace the sponge every 4-6 weeks to maintain optimal hygiene and effectiveness.
