Our founder, Renee, grew tired of always having to "lean in," so she decided to push back.

After years on the verge of burnout, she began to understand what Audra Lorde meant by saying "self-care is a radical act of resistance."

She was ready to put a little resistance into practice. What if women everywhere (and the people who love them) changed the narrative and prioritized their self-care? It would be a Self-Care Rebellion.

Inspired by this idea, she launched "Here I Am," a marketplace for self-care items for women. She offers sustainably made small-batch, plant-powered essentials from women-owned small businesses.
